Mr. Bruckert earned a bachelor’s degree in personnel management from Millikin University, an MBA from Quincy University and his juris doctor from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. While at the SIU School of Law, he was a member of the Law Journal and Health Law Moot Court Team. He is licensed to practice law in the Illinois state courts (1993), the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois (1994), and in the Missouri state courts (1994).
Mr. Bruckertwas a partner in the law firm of Belsheim & Bruckert, L.L.C. until the formation of Bruckert, Gruenke & Long, P.C. He has been practicing law in Southwestern Illinois for more than 17 years. Mr. Bruckert practices specifically in the areas of municipal law, real estate law, large-tract commercial development and business law.
Mr. Bruckert is a member and actively participates in the Illinois Municipal League, the Illinois Tax Increment Association, and the Southwestern Illinois Council of Mayors. Mr. Bruckert serves on the Board of Directors and Program Committee for the Illinois Tax Increment Association, and he is a regular speaker at the Illinois Tax Increment Association spring and fall conferences.
