Small Business Law: Bruckert, Gruenke & Long, P.C. know the unique circumstances facing small business.  Our attorneys will provide you with quality representation that you would expect to receive from larger firms, but with personalized service.  For those looking to start a new company, we can assist in establishing a new corporation, limited liability company (LLC), limited liability partnership (LLP), or other forms of Illinois companies.  For existing companies, our firm can provide operational advice, as well as preparing and reviewing contractual documents.

Large Tract Real Estate Development: Generally, these are developments that include multiple uses for a large tract of real estate. Our experience includes land assembly, negotiation of multiple and interconnected real estate contracts, work with municipalities to assist in the negotiation and establishment of the public/private financing such as TIF Notes and Bonds, Special Taxing Districts, infrastructure development, construction contract negotiation, public relations, negotiating with fire and school districts, platting, working to develop absorption studies, subdividing, selling, and leasing of lots or parcels.

Estate Planning/Administration: Estate planning begins with an evaluation of an individual’s assets and liabilities. Our experience includes the preparation of Wills, Trusts, and Powers of Attorney for Property and Healthcare. It is essential to implement an estate plan that both disposes of an individual’s assets according to his or her wishes and meets other personal objectives. Estate Administration includes probate law during which a decedent’s estate is handled through, or outside of, probate court. Our firm has over 30 years of experience in handling estate matters.

Litigation and Appeals: In connection with the above matters and general business matters, litigation and appellate work is part of the firm’s overall profile. Criminal and Municipal Ordinance violations are prosecuted regularly. Disputes between corporate entities and municipalities are regularly tried and/or settled. Will and estate contests, probate and related matters are handled by the law firm. Bruckert, Gruenke & Long, P.C. also has experience representing Clients in the appeal of the above matters. As a separate matter, the labor work that our firm does for municipalities involves labor arbitrations, matters of injunctive relief and appeals therefrom.

Most of the work done by Bruckert, Gruenke & Long, P.C. is based on hourly rates. Those rates range from $175.00 per hour to $225.00 per hour.  We also offer flat fee services for many types of estate plans. The actual costs and expenses incurred are invoiced together with fees earned on a monthly basis. A retainer is required on a case by case basis depending on the character and amount of work to be performed.

Bruckert, Gruenke & Long, P.C. maintains relationships with a number of law firms throughout this region. Those firms are available to assist where work requires the representation of different elements of a specific project, e.g., Bond Counsel in a public/private finance deal or for referral out of a case or project that is not in an area that the law firm concentrates. In the case of a referral, the law firm may or may not retain an interest in the case. Those firms with which we work are known to us to be of high caliber and character. These relationships expand the capability of our firm to produce good results in complicated matters.
